I wouldn't worry about having an "invasive" variety in that bed -- it's surrounded by brick, and can't really escape. Worst case is that whole bed ends up filled with purple flowers... not too bad. :)

Thanks for posting photos of our project! It was super fun. Mine ended up on top of our kitchen cabinets.

Hi Jess! I am the NJ girl who fought for the Narwhals! I gave my Twins the Narwhals last Friday for their Birthday. And they were by far the hit of the day! They LOVE LOVE LOVE them. They take them everywhere! I would love to send a picture, let me know how to send it to you.

Thank you so much for making such wonderful little critters.

And if the nice guy that I assaulted for the narwhals gets to read this THANK YOU! from the bottom of my heart. My girls are in Narwhal heaven because of you!

Good luck and I hope you have great success!

Aren't we feeling productive this week? :-D I'm right there with ya. I've started tackling our weedy front yard, and by tackling I mean completely digging up an entire length of the driveway, and also, yeah, started a new blog project today! We're making use of gramma's piles and piles of ancient recipes (I didn't realize they were quite so historical -- some of them are seriously more than 100 years old), and actually trying to MAKE them, and then eat them. Today we pumped out a big pile (Date Candy, 2 different Ham Loaves, Creamed Spinach, Rolled Oat Bread, and Bran Muffins) but our goal will be 3 recipes per week. So excited to see where this goes, too.

Also, count me in for crafting club soon -- I'm done with teaching the preschool art class next week and I will definitely need some arty outlet!

Can't wait to see your fancy new yard filled with plants! Can't wait to see your giant wall of words! Can't wait to see your colorful kitchen! Be daring. :) It'll be worth it.
